CREATIVITY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY AT MGL CONFERENCE 2018
A big thank you to all our school partners who braved the worst of the Beast from the East, to attend our Learning Day on Friday March 2nd at the Village Hotel in Manchester.
Delegates were treated to an inspirational talk from Ken Corish, an internationally recognised expert in the latest developments in online safety in education. Ken outlined his work with the DfE in supporting schools with the 360 Degree Safe, the free on-line safety self-review tool. Our Managing Director, Carl Gilbertson, gave an overview of MGL’s approach to supporting the successful implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that will impact on all schools from May 2018. This included the implications of the safe use of all forms of school technology in ensuring the appropriate collation, storage and sharing of school data.
MGL’s Learning Team ran a series of fun workshops using cutting-edge technology accessible to all school through our Learning Services, linking their use to supporting the teaching and learning of STEM subjects at all levels. Our work was supported by our long-standing technology partners – offering wireless solutions, Interactive Screens, telephony systems, and educational resources – many of whom travelled from all parts of the U.K. to support our day.
MGL delivers workshops throughout the school year in all parts of the North West. For more details, phone either of our main Liverpool and Manchester offices, follow us on Twitter, or keep in touch with us through our website.
