MGL Computing Curriculum Support Consultant – Greater Manchester

MGL is an expanding North West based company currently supporting Computing development in over 250 schools across the region. Applications are invited from highly effective primary school practitioners to join our Greater Manchester Computing Curriculum Support team of teachers.

You will:

  • Be an outstanding and innovative primary classroom practitioner with successful teaching experience;
  • Have a working knowledge of the National Strategies and excellent Computing skills;
  • Have a clear understanding of Computing related issues and their impact on school standards;
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Be required to:

  • Deliver outstanding computing lessons to inspire class teachers and pupils;
  • Able to operate at senior management level to plan and assess computing strategies, and confidently discuss computing subject development;
  • Promote the development of professional learning communities within individual schools and between networks of schools;
  • Develop the use of Computing and STEM to further enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum;
  • Support teachers to continue to raise the quality of cross-curricular provision in the context of a broad and rich curriculum through the use of ICT;

You will:

  • Be required to work term time plus 6 days during school holidays.
  • Have a vehicle to perform your work duties (expenses will be paid for travel)
  • Hold or be able to gain enhanced DBS clearance.
