IT Support Technician (Primary Schools) – Merseyside

Applications are invited from highly effective primary school technical support consultants to join our successful educational Technical Services team. You will:

  • Be an outstanding IT support practitioner with successful support experience within the education sector.
  • Have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems, network/wireless technologies, IT hardware support and education software solutions.
  • Have a clear understanding of IT related issues and their impact on school standards.
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Have leadership qualities to drive the best out of yourself and other team members.
  • Hold or be able to gain enhanced DBS clearance.

Be required to:

  • Provide a regular network management service to primary schools across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
  • Provide support on Windows Server networks, Mobile Devices and Network infrastructure.
  • Have a good understanding of ISP services and filtration tools.
  • Have a good understanding of Mobile Device Management and cloud solutions such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Sophos Enterprise, Jamf MDM, Lightspeed MDM, etc.
  • Provide support for other technicians and work as part of a team.
  • Provide hands on advice and guidance to schools to develop their IT network.
  • Maintain a help desk facility and provide clients with regular proactive feedback.
  • Support teachers to continue to raise the quality of cross-curricular provision in the context of a broad and rich curriculum through the use of ICT.
  • Work as part of a Technical Team providing support on a range of technologies.
